I co-lead end-to-end UX/UI design from scratch for the market-leading Bet9ja sports betting platform, alongside major regional brands like Yajuego and Mamabet —architecting heavy-data systems for millions of active users.
Challenges
Designing high-stakes gaming interfaces requires translating dense, highly complex betting mechanics and fluctuating data arrays into seamless, intuitive layouts. The primary challenge lay in hyper-scaling design operations while maintaining top-tier product discovery, competitive user flow architecture, and watertight UX strategy.
Operating with a core team of two designers meant traditional UX timelines were impossible; we needed a lean, hyper-efficient approach to bridge complex engineering parameters with frictionless UX logic without sacrificing product quality.
At the Core
I spearhead product problem-solving, drive collaborative cross-functional discovery sessions, and map user flow architecture alongside product and engineering stakeholders.
To manage an enterprise-scale workload, we use an AI-augmented design framework using tools like Gemini and Claude. I leverage these tools for faster competitor benchmarking, validation, simulated usability testing, deep gap analysis, and rapid UX/UI prototyping and auditing.
This allowed our two-person team to rapidly prototype, validate designs, and verify technical feasibility in a fraction of the standard time.
